eighteen months ago blogs were kind of interesting, but while I was away I grew jaded and didn’t want to / couldn’t be bothered posting.

I wrote this in a little blue book I write in sometimes when I had to sleep in a Canadian Airport for 6 hours. Thought I’d share it. ”I awake after a broken sleep in the warm airport, the stale smell of urine alerts me to the somewhat embarrassing revelation that I must have pissed myself in my sleep. Perfect.
It’s cold outside too, but not to the extent that a sun-kissed...
Lots, and lots, of snow.
Today it snowed 27 cm.
I rode some powder and caught snowflakes on my tongue.
White Christmas.
After I rode today I went for a bike ride followed by a hike into the woods. I found a river that wound itself through the snow-capped trees. I then cut down my first ever real christmas tree and brought it back to our house to decorate with lame clear lights that we bought for two dollars.

Life thus far.
The cool thing about the photo below is that it tells you a great deal about my life in Canada so far.
Directly behind my head is Mt Fernie, which overlooks the whole town and is quite iconic of the region. Their are no runs on this mountain, but it is pretty sweet for hiking.
