eighteen months ago blogs were kind of interesting, but while I was away I grew jaded and didn’t want to / couldn’t be bothered posting.

so if you care what I’ve been upto, here you go.

spent eleven weeks in the north american winter
used my accent to get some girls
listened to some tigers jaw
saw title fight
shopped in san francisco
saw this time next year
snapped my arm in two
saw four year strong, they played their three good songs
drank some fourties
did some tricks on a board strapped to my feet
got a sailor jerry anchor and an anatomical heart wrapped in ropes tattooed on my forearm
met some really, really great people whom I now call friends
still don’t have a valentine / never will

i’m going to japan now with some friends, i’m really excited

none of you care, at all.
so I won’t really be posting anymore

i know i haven’t posted in about a year, but i’m having too much damn fun.

I wrote this in a little blue book I write in sometimes when I had to sleep in a Canadian Airport for 6 hours. Thought I’d share it.

”I awake after a broken sleep in the warm airport, the stale smell of urine alerts me to the somewhat embarrassing revelation that I must have pissed myself in my sleep. Perfect.

It’s cold outside too, but not to the extent that a sun-kissed Australians naive proclivities would have him assume. Still, cold.

I am as far removed from my comford zone as I can be. I am excited, I am nervous, I am fucked.

The first thing I notice as I ride through town is everything is covered in snow. Everything. It hugs on to the world like an ironically freezing blanket…”
